Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHERINE KRUSHEL (nee MARTENS) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Katherine Krushel (nee Martens) at the St. Boniface Hospital on September 27, 2014 at the age of 79 years. She is lovingly remembered by her children Laurel (Ken) and Tim (Kathy); her three precious grandchildren Hayley (Chris), Alexa (Mateo) and Dylan; her brothers and sisters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Fred, and sister Mary. Katherine loved to entertain with her friends and family. She loved to bake and shared her wonderful baking with everyone. A graveside service will take place on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Dear Tim (and family)and Laurel (and husband), I thought about you so much today as you gathered at your Mom's graveside to say your final goodbyes. You meant so much to your Mom and I know that you will miss her greatly in your lives. I have a very deep appreciation and love for Kay. She became such a good friend when I was just launching my teaching career and when I lived with your parents for two years. I am so grateful that your Mom's faith was strong and she leaves you no doubt as to where she is today - in the presence of Jesus and with loved ones who went before her. My condolescences to Katherine's family. She was a member of Crosstown Civic Credit Union at 3161 Portage Ave. She was a wonderful and warm person. She was one of our statement ladies.
