JACK EDWARD STEWART September 5, 1940 - October 1, 2014 With his family by his side Jack Edward Stewart passed away on October 1, 2014. Jack was predeceased by his parents Hugh and Florence, sister Esther Chiddenton, and brothers Hugh, Bill and Joe. Left to cherish Jack's memory are his loving wife Elizabeth (Liz), son Danny, daughter Kerri, brother-in-law George and wife Terry; also many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. Jack was born and raised in Transcona, and worked for the C.N.R. in the Transcona Shops for 37 years. Upon his retirement he spent more time at their cottage at Grand Beach with his family and many friends where he was happiest. Jack also enjoyed all the family get-togethers at family breakfast, family golf tournaments, and open house for Christmas Eve. Special thank you to Dave for everything you did for Jack. He was also a member of Legion #7 and Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Celebration of Jack's life will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematorium, 1800 Day Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack's name to the Manitoba Lung Association or a charity of one's choice.
