Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Uncle Ben had an amazing laugh and he always called my name with a singsong tune. I will always remember him for his kindness and sincerity. The last thing I remember was probably two days before he got admitted to the hospital when he visited with some of his siblings at my mom's. He was so grateful for me printing a document for him and something like this made my day. I wish I gave him a hug.... And I wish I knew his life better. - Posted by: Charmaine (Neice ) on: Oct 30, 2014

  • As a family friend and a classmate of my one and only sister, Lilia, we will surely miss your smile, sincere, warm and loving demeanor. Mano Ben was really a good and cool guy.........Thank you for the friendship. - Posted by: Babes Basas Mosquito (Family friend) on: Oct 10, 2014

  • I only met him once (Brandon MB) during the birthday of his grandchild but he spent a full hour with me, talking about his life in the Philippines before he came to Winnipeg. He treated me as if he knew me all his life. He gave me one of the most valuable commodities today: his time. - Posted by: Roland Liwanag (Family friend) on: Oct 08, 2014

  • My thoughts and prayers are with you both Hamlet and Francelou and your entire family. - Posted by: Penny Dodd (friend) on: Oct 08, 2014

  • One of the things that I will miss about Tito Ben is his loving heart. One time when I was visiting a friend in QC hospital, I saw him praying over one of the patients. Other patients were also asking for his prayer for them. Tito Ben always with a smile did not hesitate to go over and even make conversation. Tito Ben is very popular. We do not have the same circle of friends because...but it always amazes me when my friends, friends' family and their acquaintances young & old alike when they learn my last name is Gobenciong that they ask me if I'm related to him. Most of them did not even come from Leyte. Tito Ben I love you & I will always miss you. Your smile and your baritone voice. I still cannot believe that I will never be able to talk to you again. Thank you for everything. Love Rizza Mana Dely & Cyril (your apo). - Posted by: Rizza Gobenciong (Niece) on: Oct 08, 2014
