Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • My deepest sympathy to Bob and Michael and Bonnie's brother Keith. Have lots of warm memories of Bonnie growing up - she was the first person I met when we were in Grade One and she was maid-of-honour at my wedding. She had a beautiful smile and a wonderful laugh. Although we didn't see each other very often - when we did - it was great. - Posted by: Margaret Uhrich (old friend) on: Oct 14, 2014

  • Christa, me & Bonnie were very close when we work at the Science Libray. We used to go out for lunch & dinner & can talk nonstop for hours often the last ones to leave the restaurant. We always know that Bonnie is a very private person but we had good times together. Even though we drifted apart after we all left Sciece Library & I moved away from Manitoba. We saw each other on & off until some years ago. Bonnie, you were always on my mind & Christa's. We often wonder how you are doing & should we try to find you. It is a shock to discover that you are now passed away & we will not meet again in this life. You who are in heaven should know that Urbain & I & Christa will sorely miss you & hope you find peace in the afterlife. Your dear friend, Victoria. - Posted by: Victoria Ip (Worked together at U of Manitoba Science Library) on: Oct 12, 2014

  • We were a "group" of friends. How we all gravitated to one another is another story. But there is a "saying" that "like attract". And we did. We became close toward the last years of high school and have kept in touch ever since. We saw each other less during the period we were all "new mothers" and were busy in our own lives, but we stayed connected. Each of us were very excited to see each other and get together for lunch or dinner whenever we could. I think the part of Bonnie that will remain with me forever is her laugh. I hear it every day in my head when I think of her. We last spent time together in July when we lost Loretta, one of our "group". As always, Bonnie was very private about herself, but was genuinely inteterested in everyone with whom she spoke. If only we knew that the dinner we seven had together in July this year would be the last time we would all laugh together. But not knowing is a good thing. We had such a good time. "Bonnie, I know you're watching. And I know you can see how many times I have wanted to include your email address in the massages I have to send." I love you always. - Posted by: Diana Verbin-McLeod (long time friend) on: Oct 11, 2014
