GERALD MULLER November 6, 1932 October 10, 2014 "Just Gerry" was an ordinary man, unpretentious and sincere. He was a character, his own person. He spoke lovingly of his many relatives and friends. He offered friendship and advise to all he met and he had many life-long friends. He was at home with a box of tools, on the dance floor, in a friendly game of cards and with a rosary. He had many interests such as cars, trains, planes, golf, reading, music and poetry. He enjoyed life. As a boy growing up in Eriksdale and St. Boniface he was noted for getting into mischief. He worked as a fireman on CNR trains 1951-53 then taught Industrial Arts, driver education and upholstery at East Kildonan, Nelson McIntyre and Grant Park schools. He obtained a BA and MSc at Bemidji State University during his teaching career. Gerry is survived by his wife Jeanne Gousseau, sons Raymond (Roxy), Dennis (Nancy), Michael (Linda), their mother Lorraine Muller, four grandchildren, Lealand, Dylan, Jeremy and Sydney Muller and three stepdaughters, Julie, Myriam and Elise, and their beloved families. He was predeceased by his parents, Celeste and Dorothy Muller (Smyth) and two brothers, Bernie and Bob. Rest now with God, reunited with those gone before you, and don't forget we still love you! Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 16, 2014 at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church, 135 John Forsyth Road, Winnipeg. Thank you to CancerCare MB, an organization worthy of support. Sunset and evening star, And one clear call for me! And may there be no moaning at the bar, When I put out to sea

  • Gerry was my teacher and friend I had him as my electronics teacher at Grant Park from grade 7 to Grade 12. I remember going out to the Garwood Grill for Pizza every Friday with him and Zen Gryzbowski and Barry Baker, it was a regular thing I we did for the pizza special and he took Scott Balneeves and I to the Belgium Club when we turned 18 for a beer which was very kind and I have great memories of us being lectured In his class about electronics and circuitry. • Besides sharing the common bond of cousins, we enjoy many happy memories of our visits, especially the last one where we shared so many fun events and experiences that helped bond us closer. • "Kissing cousins" that is what he called us. " Don't forget I still Love you " was also a favourite with Gerry. He was a kind and considerate man and we welcomed into our home when Gerry and Jeanne visited us in London. My sister Vivienne Muler and I had the good fortune to spend time with Gerry and Jeanne in September of this year. He introduced us to Folkarama with VIP privileges, what a great time we had. We will miss his big smile , hearty voice, tales of his railroad days and family history. He is now a big chief in the sky.
