Jim was a tireless worker/volunteer at the St. Vital Museum. His advice and laughter are missed. It was a pleasure knowing him. Despite his illness, Jim made it to the Fall BBQ and had a happy word for everyone and had his photo taken by the 1939 Fargo fire truck he and son Greg were responsible in obtaining. A great person. He is missed. - Posted by: Bob Holliday (Friend) on: Oct 22, 2014

Jim was more like a brother than a brother-in-law. He was such a kind and gentle person with a great sense of humour. He was happiest when his family was around. He enjoyed life and left his mark on so many people. He will truly be missed but will always remain in our hearts. - Posted by: Ruth and Rod Lindquist (Sister-in-law and brother-in-law) on: Oct 15, 2014

Our thoughts are with you and your family Cathy, as you cope with your devastating loss. Jim was an amazing man. He will be fondly remembered by so many. Besides being dashingly handsome and kind and loving, he was talented in so many areas. One of the things that stands out in our memories most, is how Jim kept the yard at your previous residence looking like something you'd see in a magazine! His handy work, yard, home and garage left all men green with envy. The love he showed his wife Cathy and his children was evident in every single thing Jim did, said or decision he made. Jim was also the kind of guy you could call up and know that if you needed him...he would be there. We are here for you Cathy and even though our hearts too, are heavy; we will help you with whatever you may need. Our love, prayers and sympathies are with you and your family. We will never forget the amazing man Jim was and we'll keep his memory alive in our hearts always.
