Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES STEWART TEEPLE With heavy hearts tempered with many loving memories, the family announces that James (Jim) Stewart Teeple, passed away suddenly at Grace Hospital on October 5, 2014. Jim is lovingly remembered by his wife Joan of 58 years, daughter Tracy (Tim), son Tim, and grandchildren of whom he was very proud, Shimira, Skyler, Kelli and Kory. Jim was born in Winnipeg, and after graduating from Daniel McIntyre Collegiate he went to work for a short time at The Imperial Bank of Commerce. He then went to work for 38 years with the CN Rail accounting department where he stayed until his early retirement in 1990. While at CN, Jim achieved his CMA degree. Jim loved travelling and had enjoyed many trips, especially his trip to Bermuda in 1973, Thailand in 1991 where he travelled right up to the border of Miramar and the Golden Triangle, and his Kenyan African Safari in 1996. He also enjoyed sight-seeing and shopping in London and Seoul. He took many winter trips and cruises with his family to the Caribbean and Mexico. Jim's priorities were his family and the cabin at Lake Brereton where he always had a project on the go. He became very skilled at cement work. He loved sailing his catamaran and taught the family how to sail. He water-skied for many years and was pleased to see his children and grandchildren become proficient in the sport. He loved snowmobiling at the lake in the winter. It was at the cabin this summer that many of the family were able to reunite and share in some wonderful memories. His community involvement included being a Cub Scout leader and a hockey coach. He was also very active in the C.F.S.A. where he volunteered for many years (1975-1988) with the Charleswood Figure Skating Club, the Winnipeg Winter Club and as Chairman of the Manitoba Section. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed reading and shopping. A drop-in memorial will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, with an open invitation for eulogies at 3:00 p.m. The family would like to express their thanks to the Grace Hospital emergency doctors and staff for their kindness and effort shown to Dad and us.
