ANNA GLADYS MYRTLE MILLS (nee LANGTVED) Passed away peacefully in her sleep in her 97th year at Vista Park Lodge in Winnipeg on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 after a few months in Victoria Hospital. Gladys was born December 28, 1917 in Eriksdale, Manitoba. On October 16, 1939 she married Fredrick (Alf) Mills in Lily Bay, Manitoba and in June 1948 Gladys, Alf and their son Clayton moved to Winnipeg. In latter days she was a resident of The Waverley in Winnipeg and formerly of The Redwoods in Ottawa. Gladys was predeceased by her beloved husband Alf, her parents Gerhard Marinus Jensen Langtvedt and Anne Severine Langtvedt (nee Kristensen), her sister Agnes Solveig Martine Whittall (Langtvedt, the late Peter Whittall), and by brothers Arthur, Stanley, and Henry (Dorothy). Gladys leaves behind her son Clayton (Shirley), granddaughter Kathryn, and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. As Gladys eschewed funerals, a private family ceremony has been held. In her memory, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
