Maria leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son Guy, daughter-in-law Gabriela and two granddaughters Stephanie and Jennifer. She will also be missed by her brothers, sisters, extended family and friends. Maria was born July 2, 1929 in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal. Prayers to be held on Friday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. We thank all the nurses, doctors and health care aides at Kildonan Personal Care Home and the Health Sciences Centre for your extended care and compassion. 204-586-8044
