BYRON ELIE MATWEWININ (ROULETTE) Suddenly and unexpectedly, on the evening of October 11, 2014, Byron Elie Matwewinin (Roulette), was called home into the spiritual world, at the age of 47. Byron was an Elder, healer, sundancer, pipemaker, spiritual counsellor, friend, and was known to bring healing and insight through laughter and sharing the teachings he lived every day on his life's journey. He always taught people to look to their hearts to understand the teachings that Creator bestows. Byron would say "Our Heart is Our First Teacher", and he always looked to his heart and gave from his heart in all he did. Byron often travelled to do spiritual work in the Yukon and Six Nations where he found a second home. Recently he was proud to work as an Elder with the girls of White Butterfly, and at the Camp in Swan River. Byron's pride was being a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and son to his loving family. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Trissy and their eight children, Dwayne, Sammy, Travis, Michelle, Jasmine, Kiniw, Dylana and Wabun. Grandchildren Tyler, Rain, Wind, Percephone and Eros. Mother Flora Roulette, mom and dad-in-law Tom and Eileen Addis, spiritual moms and dads, Henry and Lorette LaCroix, Anne and Brian Smith, brothers and sisters, Julia, Tony (Gwen), Margaret, Susie, Betty, Garry, MaryRose (Al), Molly, Joanne (Leonard), Donna, Serge, Andre (Martine), Clinton (Kirstie), Liz (Joseph), Herman, and Desmond (Chelsea), plus the numerous aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews he loved so much. He was predeceased by his father Eugene Roulette, his sister Lisa, and brothers Elvis and Johny (Charlotte). In lieu of flowers please make donations to his wife and children. CROPO 204-586-8044
