Up until that time, she had enjoyed good health. She is predeceased by her parents Aganete and Hans Heinrichs and her twin children Agnes and Heinrich. Agnes will lovingly be remembered by her husband of 65 years, Heinrich; children Hans (Linda), Elfriede (Paul) Bridge, Heinz (Val); grandchildren Wendy (Chadwick), Sheri, Andrew (Rachel), Monica (Jeff), Fiona (Matt), Lisa (Bryce), Heather (Jay), David (Susan) and Amanda (Tyler); and great-grandchildren Jeremiah, Gabriel, Alexander, Ellie, Judah and Laurel. Agnes was the oldest of seven children, and also leaves to mourn Anna, Hans (Maria), Peter, Jakob, Katharine (Gerhard) and George. She was born in the Ukraine on April 14, 1927. Her family moved to Paraguay in 1948 where she married Heinrich in 1949. In 1960, Agnes, Heinrich and their three children moved to Canada. All would agree that the move to Canada was a great decision. Agnes worked hard all her life. She retired from the Cadham Provincial Lab in 1992, allowing her more time for her family and gardening. She was very proud of her family and loved displaying her many colourful flowers throughout her yard. She once was a finalist for the Horticultural Society yard of the year for the area. Agnes adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom especially loved having family gatherings. A bag of grandma's homemade buns was always a favourite parting gift. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Douglas Mennonite Church, 1517 Rothesay St. Viewing will be prior to the service, starting at 9:30. Interment in St. Paul's Anglican (Middlechurch) Cemetery, 299 Balderstone Road, West St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Mennonite Central Committee.
