Dianne is survived by husband of 38 years, Wayne and sons Bryan (Tara) children; Brett, Tootoo and Masha-May. Michael (Tracy); daughter Kathryn (friend Robbie).Dianne also leaves behind her mother Maureen Renville; father Joe Smith (Sophie); sisters Coreen (Jerry) children; Nathan and Jennifer. Shannon (Keith) children Katie and Evan; and brother Patrick (Betty-Ann) children Kelsey, Cole, Rebecca, and Shelby. Family and friends were very important to Dianne. She always looked forward to her annual trips to British Columbia and Washington State to visit her extended family as well as the numerous trips to Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her close childhood friend Debbie Harpley. We know Dianne cherished her time with you and want to thank you for all your support to her and our family during this time. Dianne worked for MTS for over 25 years and spent many years volunteering with the Girl Guides. Dianne also enjoyed participating in sports. Most recently, she enjoyed curling up to three nights a week and watching her grandkids play hockey. She was a loving person who was always positive and always went out of her way to help others. Services will be held at the Fort Garry Curling Club on October 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Junior Curlers of Fort Garry Curling Club in Dianne's memory. We ask that those who are attending to please be as fragrance or scent free as possible, as some attendees have respiratory health issues.

Although I met Dianne only twice...I am so very glad I did. She was a very happy cheerful gal...even with her illness. I feel so lucky to have met her...and her family. Thank you. - Posted by: allison (friend of family) on: Nov 04, 2014

It has been an honour to have spent the precious time we did together. You have been a devoted wife, mother, daughter, daughter - in -law, mother - in - law, grandmother, sister, sister - in - law and special friend to myself and others. You unselfish demeanour holds a dear place with the angels and your love continues to spread. I will miss you very much Dianne while cherishing our memories. - Posted by: Deb Harpley (childhood friend) on: Oct 26, 2014

Maureen, Wayne and Family: I am deeply saddened by Dianne's passing and the rocky path she had to travel this past year. I cherish the phone conversation we had 2 weeks before she passed. Our times together as kids in Vancouver at Auntie Mildred's and then at family gatherings for Auntie's milestone birthdays will be close in my heart. She was a warm and compassionate woman of many talents. The family and extended family will feel the void that cannot be filled. May her memories bring you comfort now and in the future. God Bless. - Posted by: Jo-Ann de Repentigny (Cousin) on: Oct 22, 2014

What a beautiful picture of you Dianne! Thank you for being so kind & compassionate towards me with my own fragrance issues; and for all of your help when I never knew what the heck I was doing at work! That company has lost a very hard worker. I guess someone had other plans for you; as you were taken far too soon. You were a very positive person pretty much all of the time and I know that your closest friends and family will miss you dearly. Condolences to your husband and children. Hopefully there is a curling rink where you're at! Keep on laughing, cause boy you had a great one! - Posted by: Susan (Co-worker) on: Oct 20, 2014

My deepest heartfelt sympathy to Wayne and Family. Dianne was a beautiful person with a heart of gold. I knew Dianne through Girl Guides and enjoyed volunteering with her. She would light up when she told stories of Wayne, their kids and grandchildren. - Posted by: Cheryl Patterson (Friend) on: Oct 20, 2014

To Wayne and family. So sorry to hear about Dianne's passing. She was far too young for this to happen. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time. L - Posted by: Sandy and Dave Biener (Cousin) on: Oct 19, 2014
