GLADYS IRENE GILBERT (HINTON) 1920 - 2014 It is with heavy hearts we announce that on Saturday, October 11, 2014 our beautiful soul Gladys passed away. Gladys was independent, had a strong love of family and was quick to help those in need. Her pleasant nature and generous spirit earned her the name "Grandma Gladys". She took great pride in living up to all that this encompassed. Gladys had a well known love for cats and if not caring for her own, she enjoyed weekend "babysitting" visits caring for a friend's cat. She is now reunited with Smokey, Laverne and Spanky, enjoying each others company. In keeping with Gladys' wishes there will be no formal service. For those blessed to have known her, please share your memories with others. We would like to thank the staff at Charleswood Care Centre for the care and kindness given to Gladys during her stay as well as the staff on the 4th floor Unit 5 at Seven Oaks Hospital who provided care and compassion in her final days.
