  • We would like to extend our sincere sympathy to all of Allan's family. We got to know him through his aunt & uncle Margurite and Foster Graham in Dominion City. We had many fun times together. He was always happy and it felt good just to be his friend. Regretfully we haven't seen him for a long while. He used to come once in a while with students to our school when tournaments were on. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. - Posted by: Bert & Joey Simpson (friends) on: Oct 22, 2014

  • Al was a very caring and loving person. After many years of being out of touch, I went to Winnipeg June of this year. I went to the Nursing Home with my Niece, Angie: unbeknown to Al, we walked into the dining room, Angie said Hi Dad: he turned around and immediately looked at me and his instant reaction to me was, a surprise to me, he said "Hi Philly", his face lit up, his eyes widened as he said, you came to see me. We hugged each other, we shed tears of joy. It was so emotional as we recalled some memories of years gone by: I just could not believe that he knew who I was, despite his condition. Al always made me and others feel at home, his dazzling smile, eyes that twinkled like the stars. Such a light hearted Man. I thank God that I saw him in June. He will live on in our hearts, his legacy is his beautiful Daughter, Angie, my Niece who has his dazzling smile, twinkling eyes and great bubbly personality. He will be missed by those who love him. Aunt Phyllis, Aunt Judy, and Uncle Mike. - Posted by: Allan Graham (brother-in-law) on: Oct 21, 2014

  • Dad, you will be forever missed. I love and like you. Love always Angie - Posted by: Angela Ross (Daughter) on: Oct 20, 2014

  • Dear Doreen and remaining family of Al, we send our most heartfelt and sincere condolences on the passing of Al. I worked with Al on Via Rail for many years and we became fast friends, frequently called "Salt and Pepper". Al and my family became friends away from work as well and enjoyed many happy times with him. How can anyone who knew him ever forget his outrageously infectious laugh? We are so very sorry we didn't know he was so ill, would have loved to be able to visit him. We will cherish his memory and frendship and hope your memories will help carry you through the difficult days ahead as well. • Al was such a loving Father, husband and brother-in-law: he was kind, humorous, with a dazzling smile for everyone. He welcomed everyone who visited him and made them feel at home. I am so happy that I saw him in Winnipeg just this June 2014...he did not know that I was coming from Whitby, Ont. His beautiful Daughter, Angie and I walked into the Nursing Home: I went up to him and to my surprise, he said "Philly" which he called me for 40 years: I was totally shocked that he remembered me after not having seen him for about 25 years! We held each other and we shed tears of happiness! It was such an honor that he remembered me in spite of his condition. I always loved him, such a handsome Man he was: to see him fading away saddened me so much: however: he still had that dazzling smile and that adorable twinkle in his eyes. He will remain in my heart forever, he left his beautiful Daughter, Angie who looks just like him: How could anyone forget him, his legacy lives on in Angie's eyes and her dazzling smile! Rest in Peace now Al and we will all see you again! - Posted by: phyllis ann parsons (brother-in-law) on: Oct 20, 2014
