DORIS BLANCHE FERGUSON (nee SMITH) October 16, 1918 - October 17, 2014 With sadness we announce that Doris passed away on October 17, 2014 at the Pines Care Facility in Kimberley BC at the age of 95. Doris was predeceased by her husband Ken in 2000. She will be sadly missed by her son Ken jr. and daughter-in-law Pat, along with grandsons Jeremy (Jodi) and Aaron (Jenn) and great-grandchildren Wyatt, Cooper, Brady and Alana. Doris was born in Winnipeg and attended Kelvin High School. After high school Doris went on to work for Eaton's. It was during this time that she met and married her husband Ken. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage. The majority of that time was spent living in Fort Garry where she leaves her son with many fond memories of growing up on Marshall Crescent. Doris and Ken built a cottage at Falcon Lake in the early years of their marriage and it proved to be a great source of enjoyment and life long friendships. Doris loved to travel and I'm happy to say her and Dad saw many parts of the world. A life well lived, you will be fondly remembered. In accordance with Dori's wishes she will be cremated, followed by a family celebration of life.
