  • I have know Irv for many many years. Met him when Bev & him moved into our house on Pacific. Spent a lot of time with him & Bev out in Chatfield, was at their wedding. He was like one of the family. My dad Pete and him were the best of buds, now he can go and visit mom & dad and have a whiskey with them. He will be welcomed with open arms. I have lots of memories of him, and one was that smile and laugh of his. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to Bev, Tracey, Arlene and their families. Also to his twin brothers Ken and Keith and their families. Rest in peace my dear friend. - Posted by: Denise Funk (Good Friend ) on: Oct 31, 2014

  • We were saddened to read of Irvinne's passing. Imagine my surprise when I was taken to his room at the Grace. What a small world. It was so nice that sometimes you or the twins would also drop in on me. It makes the time go quicker. If possible I was thinking I would like to attend the graveside service on Sat. but only if it doesn't interfere with your plans. My cell is 204 886 7491. - Posted by: Helen Kletke (Holmstrom) (Friend) on: Oct 22, 2014

  • Condolences to Bev and families. Kenny and Keith and families. I will always remember Irv for his great strength and courage for all the pain he endured for many years due to his arthritis. He was a man that always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. He spent many days visiting at the Elof Johnson house when he was young and always came with some contraption on wheels that he got running. He spent many a day working on his go-carts, cars or whatever he could make run and would always take it for a test run to our place. My sisters always called him their little brother as he fit right into our family. It was our privilege to know and love him all those years. Irv will be in heaven as that is where the angels meet. God keep you my friend! - Posted by: Darlene Johnson (Family Friend and cousin by marriage) on: Oct 21, 2014

  • My condolences to Auntie Bev and Traci and Arlene and family. I'm sorry for your loss. Uncle Irv will be greatly missed. I remember dropping a huge safe on his foot one time in the back yard at 1831 Legion avenue in Brooklands. I felt so bad but he never yelled at me. In winter we'd go out to Chatfield and snowmobile and on this curve in a deep trail he was leading and waved us all to stop, just then this big buck came out of the pines and jumped right over the front of his machine. When I got on with Hydro He and Auntie Bev came out to Point du Bois and I had a chance to show him and my Dad Keith the plant from a mechanic's perspective. To see a man's eyes, who knows so much, to light up was an honour to see. Then we feasted on fish. These memories I will never forget. A High Skol to you my Uncle, you put up a good fight. May you rest in peace forever. Love Dwayne. - Posted by: Dwayne Lindstrom (Nephew) on: Oct 21, 2014
