RONALD ADOLPH OPYC Sadly, Ron passed away on October 17, 2014 with his family by his side, after a battle with cancer. Ron was born on January 13, 1957 in Beausejour, MB to Eva and the late Joe Opyc. He was raised in Seddon's Corner, MB. He attended Molsen School and then Beausejour Collegiate Institute. Ron lived in Fort St. John, BC from 1978 to 1982 working as a roofer. Ron moved back to Beausejour in 1983 and worked for C.P. Rail and through his work moved to Ignace, ON in 1988 and then to Kenora, ON in 1992. He was a very dedicated father who was very involved in Jolen's and Lexine's activities growing up. He will be deeply missed by his wife Tammy of 29 years, son Jolen (Jessica) of Kenora, ON and daughter Lexine (Wesley) Ammerman of Neebing, ON, his first grandchild Eli Ammerman, second grandchild Opyc expected in March, and Kya, his dog of 11 years. He was predeceased by his father Joe in 1975. He is survived by his mother Eva Opyc of Beausejour, brothers Clifford (Margaret) Opyc of Winnipeg, MB, John (Barb) of Okotoks, AB, Greg (Lori) of Beausejour, MB, sisters Gloria Dudych of Winnipeg, MB, Mary (Tim) Kuzyk of Anola, MB, his in-laws Eleanore and Len Meyers of Chilliwack, BC, Les and Laurie Meyers of Emo, ON and Charlene and Stoney Stobert of Wainwright, AB. • I have worked with Ron for many years in several capacities. He was always willing to help out and be there when work need to get done in short order. Calling him out during the coldest nights in the winter months it was seldom that Ron couldn't be counted on. Ron was a valuable asset to our team and he will be sadly missed by all that knew and worked with him. Although he is no longer laughing with us his memory will live on within everyone of us that had the privilege to know him. Thank you Tammy for the strength you showed in this difficult time.
