GERALD GORDON CHARLES PAULSON With sadness we announce the passing of Gerald Gordon Charles Paulson, age 70, on October 19, 2014, after a short battle with cancer. Left to cherish his memory are his son Dean Paulson, his daughter Lisa Jenkins (Mike), his three grandchildren Joshua and Chelsea Paulson and Ethan Jenkins, his four sisters Lila Smith, Rita Clark, Barbara Klassen, Emily (Maurice) Gervais and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Florence and Felix Paulson, son Mark Paulson, brothers-in-law Edwin Smith, Chester Clark and Richard Klassen. Gerry grew up on the family farm at Stony Point, Manitoba. He worked for Winnipeg Hydro and many other jobs. He was a trapper for many years and enjoyed fishing. Gerry loved to tell stories, playing his guitar, cribbage and cards. He was the joker, the prankster and rebel of the family. Gerry would say with a laugh "you be bad now". Funeral Services will be held at the Gilbart Funeral Home in Selkirk on October 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow to Balsam Bay Cemetery.   • Terry and I enjoyed many Friday nights during the winter months playing crib with Gerry while he lived with my brother Dave. Gerry would have us roaring at times with laughter. One of his favorite lines was, "I'd like to help you OUT!!... WHICH way did you COME IN?" He lived, he loved and he laughed. We were glad to have had the chance to get to know our cousin.
