Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCAROL ANN SANDERS (nee LANE) September 2, 1962 - October 18, 2014 It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Carol. Peacefully on the morning of October 18, 2014, in the arms of her loving husband, she became an angel who was already a devoted wife, daughter, mother, sister and friend for whom we will cherish for the rest of our days. Carol is survived by her faithful husband Jack, beloved children Kevin (Stephanie), Samantha (Sheldon), and Chelsea (Chris), stepchildren Mike (Merlyn), Ryan (Stephanie), grandchildren Jordan, Bradley, Taylor, Paloma, Erika and Kaden; her dear mother Laurette, cherished siblings Darlene (Ernie), Ken (Lori), Darren (Kali), Chris (Shawn), and Andrew (Krystal), numerous nieces and nephews, and her old pal Runt. Carol was predeceased and reunited with her father Allan Lane, stepfather William Blum, Grandma and Grandpa Cote, Grandma and Grandpa Lane, uncles, aunties and niece Michelle. Carol was born on September 2, 1962 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. At age 14, she and her family moved to Nestor Falls, Ontario, where she met the father of her three children, Darrell. Together, as a young couple, they moved back to Winnipeg where Carol enjoyed raising their children. It wasn't until years later when she worked at Robin's she found her soul mate, Jack. They soon settled as a blended family of seven and embarked on their journey where together they created lasting memories that encompassed much joy, laughter and happiness. Carol enjoyed her career in the health care profession. She had recently received her recognition award for 10 years service with Ten Ten Sinclair. She valued the friendships she made with co-workers and tenants alike. Carol was a compassionate person and her years spent caring for other people brought comfort to many. She had many lasting friendships throughout her years and always cherished special times together with closest and dearest friend (cousin) Cindy. Together, their laughter and silliness was infectious. Carol and Jack shared a love of travel. Carol enjoyed travelling to such places as Las Vegas, Florida, British Columbia, Mexico and Black Hills. Frequent weekend road trips state side with their cherished friends Glen and Doris inspired the fondest of memories. Carol had a great love for food (potatoes), she loved the holidays especially the Christmas season and really enjoyed entertaining at her home in a grand scale. She took pride in her home through decorating and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for her family and friends. Carol's love for her family was apparent to all who knew her. She made it her mission to be up-to-date with the daily happenings of her mother, children and siblings. She was a positive, supportive influence for her family, especially in times of need. You could always count on her. She was considered by all as our matriarch. Despite her illness over the past two years, she remained positive and optimistic. She had courage, strength and hope in the face of fear. She thrived from receiving daily visits in her home from friends and family alike. She always had a smile on her face and a laugh that could light up the cloudiest of days. Her time was way too brief but she lived a full life filled with much joy and she will remain forever in our hearts. A celebration of life will be held in her honour at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Transcona Country Club, 2070 Dugald Road, Winnipeg. The Coutu Family in care of arrangements: E.J.
