NANCY LOUISE GEOFFREY (nee PARTRIDGE) It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of our dear mother, Nancy Geoffrey on Saturday, October 18, 2014. Nancy leaves to mourn her beloved sons Brett (Heather) and Chad (Marissa), granddaughter Adison; her sisters-in-law Niki Partridge and Lee Ann Partridge; her brother-in-law Harvey Schmidt; cousin Carolyn (Nick), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents James and Florence, her brothers Richard and Gary, and her sister Cynthia. Nancy was a loving and devoted mother to her two boys. She could often be found shuttling them around to various sporting events and seated in the stands cheering them on. The summer months were spent with an annual trip to Sandy Hook where she spent her childhood summers and had many fond memories. Nancy had a very active social life with many circles of friends whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed organizing outings whether it be dinner, a movie, an Oscar party or gathering at 3:00 a.m. to watch the Royal Wedding live! Her enthusiasm for events didn't stop there; an avid Jets and Bombers fan she enjoyed discussing the outcome of the games with her boys. Nancy was a very proud and loving grandmother who cherished her time with Adi. She would make herself available on a minute's notice to help out in any way possible. Granny will be missed. Nancy could often be found working on her pride and joy: the yard. It would be unusual to go more than a day or two without seeing her either working in the garden, or relaxing in the sun with her beloved dog and companion, Murphy. Mom, we love you so much, you're the best and that will never change. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Winnipeg Winter Club, 200 River Avenue. The family would like to thank Nancy's friends for their outpouring of love and support through this incredibly difficult time. We would also like to thank the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service and St. Boniface Hospital for the kindness and care given to Mom. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
