PETER TARASENCO
Date of Passing: Oct 25, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER TARASENCO It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Peter Tarasenco Jr. on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the age of 72 years. Left to survive Peter are his wife of 51 years, Sandra; two sons Michael (Lise) and Timothy; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Alexis and Alexander; his mother Jessie; brother Gary; and sisters Carole and Joyce and their children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father Peter in 2005. Peter was born and raised in Steinbach before moving to Winnipeg in 1959 where he gained employment with Winnipeg Hydro. In the late 1960s, with his wife and young family in tow, he took a position with DPW in Churchill. Two and a half years later he transferred back to Winnipeg to work with the Department of National Defence until his retirement in 1997. While those who know Peter knew he was an avid lover of anything antique (especially cars), his greatest love was for his family and he was most proud of his boys and grandchildren. Peter (a.k.a. Papa Pete and Mr. T.) will be deeply missed and forever loved. In keeping with Peter's wishes, a private family service has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice. I worked with Peter at Winnipeg Hydro in the mid 60's and enjoyed running into him at various car shows and the St James Pub. His infectious laugh and friendship will be missed. - Posted by: Ed Klemm (Friend) on: Nov 03, 2014
