ERIC BRUCE RADFORD October 14, 1945 - October 24, 2014 Eric passed away peacefully on October 24, 2014 at the age of 69. Eric was a gentle and kind hearted man. He will be greatly missed by all family and friends, he will never be forgotten and will always be loved. Eric was born in Gladstone, Manitoba and lived in various towns and cities in Manitoba throughout his life, finally settling in Winnipeg. He was happiest spending his leisure time in the great outdoors hunting, fishing and socializing with his good friends Doc, Spud and their families. Eric excelled at carpentry and was always available to help out his friends and family with their renovation projects. A special thanks to Don and Lilian for being there for our Dad, especially during his final days. We would like to thank Doctor Thomas Jacob and all the tremendous staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care of our Dad. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eric's name to CancerCare Manitoba. • I grew up with The Radford girls and instantly became part of the "Family". I didn't have a father so Eric was one of the first "Dads" I had the pleasure of meeting. One of my greatest memories was allowing Cindy and I to sleep in the van outside on the weekends. He even brought out the TV and set it up inside the van! We would watch Chiller Thriller, eat popcorn and scream under the covers!! That was an extra special treat. Sometimes we would put tents up in the backyard too. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. - Posted by: Lauren Schmidt (Family Friend) on: Oct 28, 2014
