DONNA NANOSKY October 3, 1953 - October 25, 2014 With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother, sister and daughter, Donna Nanosky on Saturday, October 25, 2014. Donna will be deeply missed and long remembered by her husband Vern, children Ryan (Mandy), Mark (Brie), and Terry (Jim), grandchildren Raegan and Grady, sisters Charlene (Fred), Cindy (Keith), and mother, Marguerite. She was predeceased by her father Phillip, and sister Fay. Born in 1953, Donna Pinchevsky was raised in Winnipeg's West End. She spent many good times at Isaac Brock Community Club where she developed a life-long love of dancing. Always full of energy and high spirits, she met her match when she found her husband, Vern. In 1974 they married and had three children, which kept her busy baking cakes, crafting and providing endless rides. Once the kids had grown and moved out she opened her heart to her beloved dog, Bella. This kept Donna busier than ever, allowing her to attain new skills and develop interests such as grooming and cooking for her four-legged child. Donna loved spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. They most certainly brought an abundance of joy to her. She never passed up an opportunity to babysit, attend a dance recital or just to talk to them. She was always on the lookout for the perfect Christmas or birthday gift. Donna had a big heart and was always there willing to pitch in and help, an unselfish attitude that has touched many in her life and will be cherished. A celebration of her life will be held for family and friends November 1 at the Henderson Highway Legion, 3600 DeVries Ave., East St. Paul, MB from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

Sincere condolences Vern and Family. You have both become very good friends of ours over the last 12+ years through your involvement in the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion or "Tractor Boy Land" to Donna. She was one unique individual! When some of our group were in Winnipeg for the gathering on Saturday we got to meet many of your friends from your home turf, and it was obvious that the Winnipeg Donna was the same Donna we all came to know and love "down south"! As others have said, her sense of humor and her ability to make us all laugh was amazing. She listened as Vern and I would talk for many hours on the road (telephone) and from time to time she would interject something that was so funny I would laugh for minutes. As much as she wanted us all to think that she really didn't care for us, and only tolerated us so she could go shopping in the States, we knew better! She loved us all, and Donna... we loved you back! You left a big hole and you will be missed. Sleep well my friend. - Posted by: Mark and Katy Kerkvliet (Friend) on: Nov 02, 2014

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Donna`s Passing. We had know Donna for years. She was a beautiful person and she will be missed so much. Donna had a heart of gold and she would stop everything to help you. I remember having back problems and could not sit or stand. I would lie mostly on the floor. Donna would go and buy me lunch and lie on the floor with me and we would enjoy our lunch together. She would get indigestion eating on the floor, but that was Donna. She was awesome. She took me to appointments and was always there to cheer you up. She was a lover of animals and went out of her way to make special treats and food for them. I remember like it was yesterday. We were over at Donna and Vern`s for a movie night. Of course, it was a scary one. One of her cats were sitting on the back of the couch and when I saw a shadow I screamed. The cat jumped off the couch and got sick in the kitchen. Donna told me that it would be the last time she would invite us over for a movie. We laughed so hard. We will miss her witty character. We love you Donna and you were a special part of our life. Our Deapest Sympathy to Vern, Terry, Mark and Ryan. Our hearts ache for you and we are so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Marilyn & Jeff Sippel (Very Dear and close Friend) on: Oct 31, 2014

Vern, Mark and family, I was shocked to hear of the sudden passing of Donna. My sincere condolences on your loss. Donna was a great person who thought of other people before herself. I remember when my wife got sick and was in the hospital, it was Easter and Donna went out and got my kids some stuff so they would have something else to think about other than their mother being in the hospital. This was something that meant so much to me and my family. Every time I was in Cummings, Donna could always make me laugh. Donna I will miss you!! Vern and Mark I'm so so sorry for your loss. It's during these times that we regret life is so hectic and that we don't take the time to drop in and say a quick hello - Posted by: Richard morier (Friend) on: Oct 30, 2014

So shocked and sorry to hear of Donna's passing. She was so much fun and such a joy to to be around, always laughing. We feel so badly. Our condolences to Vern, Mark, Ryan and Terry. She loved her family and would do anything for them. We go way back to nursery school with our children and have so many happy memories. She will be so missed. Donna you were a Diamond in the ruff, one of a kind. We remember one time when we were at Cummings and I was wearing my t-shirt from Mexico and Donna said she should have a t-shirt that says " St. Boniface" lol We went country line dancing together and when they exploded the Canada Packers we were all on the roof top taking pictures. So sorry we never got to have our last lunch together. Your making them all laugh up in heaven now. Sincerely Nancy and Paul Saltel - Posted by: Nancy and Paul Saltel (Friends) on: Oct 30, 2014

We were both surprised and taken aback by Donna's passing. Donna was a passionate pet lover, and would do anything for her animals. She would do anything for her friends, they just needed to ask. Donna, you will be missed by all your friends. We always enjoyed our "coffees" together. Rest in Peace dear friend. - Posted by: JoAnn Kakoske (neighbour/friend) on: Oct 30, 2014

Shocked and so sorry to hear of Donna's passing. My sincere condolences to Vern, kids and extended family. Donna will be greatly missed and always remembered. I had the privilege of working with her during my tenure at cummings small engine and though stessful at times she taught me that humor was always a good way to keep things in check. I loved to hear her laugh... it most always came from deep down and you knew it was genuine and heartfelt. I will always remember the practical joke she thought she was playing on me.. She offered me a cookie (clearly a dog biscuit) and took it and bit down on it and complained that it was very crunchy and she should check the recipe. Well, she laughed so hard she had tears in her eyes. Thank you so much for all the memories Donna, You will be missed. - Posted by: Grant Robinson (past employee and friend) on: Oct 30, 2014
