Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD MICHAEL BANIUK September 29, 1941 - October 27, 2014 Richard passed away, with his family by his side, at the Concordia Hospital, on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the age of 73. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend who will be missed beyond words. Richard was predeceased by his father, Michael Baniuk. Left to cherish his memory is his mother Lucy Baniuk, his loving wife of 42 years, Aline Baniuk, his daughters Bernadette Feakes (Henry) and Crystal Baniuk (Mike), and his grandchildren Jack and Luke Feakes. Also left to cherish his memory are his siblings Gloria (Robert), Gladys (Marvin), Donald (Linda), Wayne (Judy), as well as his nieces and nephews Robbie, Christine, Andre, Keith, Jason, Cheryl, and all of their families. Richard was a kind, loving, sociable, humorous man. He loved spending time with his family, especially his mother, wife, daughters and grandchildren. He was always helping someone out when they needed him. He loved photography, cars, wrestling, listening to music, watching movies, and traveling. He loved making those around him laugh. Richard was also a spiritual man, and made sure to pass along his love for God to his family. His final words were "I Love you, God be with you all". He will be greatly missed, and forever remembered in our hearts. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of the Intensive Care Unit, and Spiritual Care at the Concordia Hospital for their care, compassion and support during Dad's final days. Funeral service for family and close friends will be held on Monday, November 3 at 10:00 a.m., Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street, Winnipeg, MB. Viewing one hour prior to the service.
