TOM JONCA Mass of Christian Burial was Celebrated on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Boulevard at Grant Avenue with Rev. Msgr. TOM JONCA Tom Jonca, dear husband, brother and uncle passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital at age 65, Thursday, October 30, 2014. Left to forever love and greatly miss Tom are his wife Rosie; sisters Anna (Tony) and Elizabeth; sister-in-law Bella and her husband Luciano; nephews and niece: Henry, Robert (Malgorzata) and Monica (Terrance); and grand-nieces and grand-nephews: Cassidy, Alexandra, Maximilian, Evan, Natalia, and Ellie; as well as by relatives in Poland. Tom was born to Piotr and Sabina Jonca and raised in Lodz, Poland. After completing high school and technical studies he immigrated to Canada to join his family and start a new life in Winnipeg. Tom was a professional in design drafting and he excelled in his career working for many years for Unisys and later Vansco Electronics until his retirement. We will forever remember Tom as a generous, giving and loving person, who always enjoyed his free time with family, summers in Gimli, and of course his never ending computer challenges. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Boulevard at Grant Avenue with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault P.H., presiding. Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Cemetery. Thanks to the nurses and doctors at St. Boniface Hospital who cared for Tom during his short stay.
