Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE CHARLES JOHNSON November 30, 1931 October 31, 2014 On Friday, October 31, 2014 at the age of 82, George passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. George was predeceased by his wife Sigrid (nee: Malmas) Johnson on June 4, 2001; parents Art and Florence; brothers David and Bill and sister Alice. He is lovingly remembered by his sons, George Andrew (Shirley) Nick, Anthony and Brandy (Thomas), Dale (Debbie) Brandon and Kelley. He is survived by brothers Tom, Charley, Leonard, Joe, Phillip, Norman and Ken; sisters Frieda, Ida, Evelin, Janice and Edna, and their families; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. George was born on November 30, 1931 in Stonewall, MB, where he did all his schooling. He moved to Winnipeg where he spent his entire adult life. He married Sigrid on June 25, 1960. George coached hockey, bowled and loved to go fishing and camping. He loved attending social gatherings and did volunteer work. Family was always number one to him. George retired from C.N. Railway as a machinist. Thanks to Len and Joanne, Seven Oaks Hospital staff, Dr. Moncek and Frieda. Honorary pallbearers are Nick, Anthony, Brandon and Kelley. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715
