Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLARA BEATRICE DE JAEGHER (nee VERMEIRE) Peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2014 at River Park Gardens Personal Care Home in Winnipeg, MB, Clara Beatrice De Jaegher, age 90 years passed away with family by her side. Clara was born August 3, 1924 in Swan Lake, MB. She was predeceased by her husband, Aime, in 1988. Together, they operated the family farm south of Swan Lake until Aime's passing. After that, she moved to Winnipeg where she spent much of her time volunteering in the neighbourhood school libraries. Clara is survived by her four children Wayne (Val), Brian (Louise), Ken (Denise) and Karen (Brian); grandchildren Scott (Lora), Curtis, Breanne (Kevin), Paul (Christy), Kyle, Laura, Lindsey, and Brett, and great-grandchildren Emily, Avery, and Jacob. She also leaves to mourn her sisters Isabel and Lorraine; brother Marcel; sisters-in-law Vida, Joanne and Jenny, and brothers-in-law Roland, Leo, Maurice, Adrian and Leon. Eulogy will start at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 in St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, Swan Lake, MB. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. also in the Church with Rev. Fr. Christopher Nwosu, presiding. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff at the River Park Gardens Personal Care Home for their kindness and excellent care that they provided to Clara. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. Aunts Clara....my fondest memories include playing with the kittens on the step of the old farm house and picking saskatoons down in the valley.
