ROBERT NEMETH It is with great sadness that the family of Robert announces his passing on November 10, 2014, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Left to mourn his passing are his beloved wife Kay, children Rob, Stephan, Peter and Mary and their spouses and eight grandchildren. Robert was predeceased by sisters Magda and recently Bertha. Born in Hungary in 1929 the son of a stone mason, Robert studied and practiced architecture before coming to Canada in 1957. In Canada he found himself in Fort Francis, Ontario, where he was given a home and gracious support by Leo and Therese Noonan who remained lifelong friends. While in Fort Francis, Robert met a young x-ray technician and he and Kay were married in 1959. The couple moved to Winnipeg where Robert continued work for several architecture firms, finally with Number 10 Architectural Group for 30 years until his retirement. Robert's greatest pride were his children and their accomplishments. He was a man of devout and unwavering faith who was interested in all of God's creatures. He and Kay ran Maplekrest Kennels in Cooks Creek, Manitoba, for many years before and after retirement. In addition to Labrador Retrievers, over the years Robert raised chickens, geese, turkeys, bees and Roller Canaries which he enjoyed until his final days. His family wishes to thank all those who offered support and comfort during Robert's illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Cooks Creek (Hwy. 212 at Sapton Road) at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at the parish cemetery. www.seasonsfunerals.ca

I was surprised to see Robert's name among the deceased. My condolences Kay. I will not be able to come to the funeral, but my prayers are with you and Robert. I really admired him, his faith, his peaceful spirit, always respectful. I also admire his love and devotion to you Kay. It showed when both of you came to mass on weekdays as there were less people around so I was able to see the love of each other. Robert has indeed been a faithful servant and I'm sure God has received him with open arms. I can see Robert smiling, but also praying for us all. Take care Kay and continue to bring God's peace and love to all you meet. - Posted by: Father Charles Fillion (past pastor ) on: Nov 13, 2014

Dear Kay and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I had the greatest pleasure to work with Bob at Number Ten Architectural Group. He was a mentor to me, and taught me a lot. One of the most important things he taught me was, take your time and try to do it right. I never forget his words of wisdom. The 2 of us were usually the first ones in at 8 a.m. every morning, and Bob was a spiritual man, he would say his prayers every morning before the hustle and bustle of the day. I never disturbed him, but always took notice. He was always kind to everyone, patient and always had time to answer your questions. I will not forget the important lessons of life I received from him. God Bless you Bob, and all my sympathies to you Kay and the family. - Posted by: Carole Ramsay (Friend - worked with Bob) on: Nov 12, 2014

I had the pleasure of meeting Robert and Kay years ago when I purchased my first beautiful black lab Jazz. I also had the privilege of having one of their older males Mark in my family. Kay and Robert were the sweetest, kindest people, always welcoming you into their home for a cup of tea and a nice chat. They were also a wealth of information when it came to labs. I will be forever grateful to have known Robert and I my sincerest condolences to Kay and her family. RIP Robert. - Posted by: Jacqui Bell (Friend) on: Nov 12, 2014
