LOIS LOUISE DUMONT (nee HALUKE) August 31, 1949 - November 8, 2014 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Dumont after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 65. She leaves to cherish in her memory her husband Robert, daughter Charlene, son-in-law Rob, grandson Daniel, son Bill, granddaughter Karrissa, stepdaughter Tammy (Don), step-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Codie and Andy as well as sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and colleagues. Lois was predeceased by her mother Alice, father William, and brother Wayne. Lois retired from St. Joseph's Residence where she worked for the past 23 years, caring for her "residents". She loved working with the elderly. She will be forever remembered for making people laugh with her silly ways and kind heart. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba in her memory. A service to celebrate Lois' life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave.

My sincere condolences to the family on the passing of Lois. I found her obituary while conducting ancestry family research. My grandmother Irene Holowaty was Dora Haluke's sister so Lois and I would have been second cousins. I'm sorry I never met Lois but did know Dora, Bill, and Wayne having met them briefly years ago. - Posted by: Chuck (Second Cousin) on: Aug 17, 2016

A very sweet and caring lady. Although I knew her for years she always surprised me; with her silly humour she always brought smiles to those around her. She will be missed by many. My sympathies to all who loved her. - Posted by: Tracy (Family) on: Nov 13, 2014
