Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILDA POITRAS (nee SCHILKE) Peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2014, Hilda passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. Hilda was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Gerard in January 2014 and son Lorne in October 2014, as well as many other family members. She is survived by two sons, Ray and Steve, grandchildren; Donny (Jodi), Madison and Alexa and great-grandchildren; Kolby and Ryleigh. Hilda grew up in Poplar Point Manitoba and later moved to Winnipeg where she married and raised her family. Hilda loved bingo and was very involved at bingo night at the ANAVETS on Portage Avenue. In her younger years she enjoyed playing guitar and later joined a bowling league along with her family. Funeral service will take place on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with viewing half hour prior to the service. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Hilda and Lorne's life will be held following the service at the Poitras family home. So sorry to hear about Hilda & Lorne I met them at ANAF 283 bingo as a Nevada ticket seller and then the jigsaw puzzle deliver and pick-up girl. I'm going to miss dropping in on Hilda and seeing her smiling face even tho she probably was in pain. Goodbye Hilda and Lorne may God be with you.
