BERNICE (BEA) FRIESEN
Date of Passing: Nov 11, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERNICE (BEA) FRIESEN 1929 - 2014 It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Bea on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 85 years. Bea passed peacefully after a brief illness. Bea leaves to mourn, daughters Dee Dee (Harry), Panda, Brenda (Murray) and son Terry (Gail); grandchildren Kati, Becky, Tanya, Kevin, Salena, TJ, Cody, Paige, Chad and Patrick and a number of great-grandchildren. Bea was born in Fort Frances, Ontario and spent her childhood there until she moved to Winnipeg as a young adult. After moving to Winnipeg, Bea worked briefly in the retail business and loved meeting people. Those people skills came in handy when later in her life she worked as a hostess at a popular downtown restaurant. Bea was the classiest hostess to hit Winnipeg and was known by many. Bea lived in downtown Winnipeg for most of her life and enjoyed what Winnipeg had to offer. Bea got great pleasure out of seeing her children and grandchildren thrive and hearing about the various activities they were involved in and took great pride in her children's accomplishments. She loved unconditionally, was loyal and had a very giving heart. There were no boundaries for her love, no black or white, just plain love. Through her lifetime Bea made many friends and enjoyed entertaining whenever she could. Our family wishes to thank the staff at Windsor Park Place for the care they provided to her over the past 5 years. The family also wishes to express our appreciation to Dr. Mehta and the staff of St. Boniface E4 for their care and compassion. Donations to a charity of one's choice are welcome in lieu of flowers. A celebration of Bea's life will be held on November 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Church in Meadowood, 1111 Dakota Street, Dr. Gordon Taylor officiating.
