Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE WINMILL (nee PETERSEN) Anne Winmill passed away peacefully at the Deer Lodge Hospital on November 11th, 2014. Anne was predeceased by her husband Art, brothers Victor and Paul, and sisters Evelyn, Gerda and Lil. Left to mourn her passing are her son David, daughter-in-law Linda, grandchildren Tammy (Glenn) and Gordon, great-grandchildren Cailem, Bronte and Megan, sister Margaret and brother Gordon. Anne was born in Komarno, MB in 1920, moved to St. James as an infant and then to Fort Whyte where she met Art. They wed in June, 1939, and Art went off to war in December. Shortly after his return in 1945 they moved to Kirkfield Park where she played baseball with the Kirkfield Pats, was a member of ANAF Ladies Auxiliary and took up bowling. She became an excellent bowler achieving 900 triples on several occasions. Anne was fortunate to be able to play the game well into her 80s. She also loved to crochet, knit, bake and play bingo. The family wishes to thank the staff at Deer Lodge 4E for their care and support during the last few months. Cremation has taken place. A family celebration of Anne's life will take place at a future date. Donations in her name can be made to the Salvation Army or to a charity of your choice. So sad to say good bye to Grandma. I have many fond memories of her and still think of her every year on Christmas Eve. Tammy, thanks for sharing her with me, she was a kind lady.
