ARMAND JOSEPH LAMOUREUX
Date of Passing: Nov 12, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARMAND JOSEPH LAMOUREUX In the early hours of November 12, 2014, at the age of 68 years, the gentle soul of Armand Joseph Lamoureux passed away. Armand, son of Ulysse and Aurore Lamoureux, was a devoted husband to Lauren Ann Lamoureux (nee Gresham), a caring brother to Marcel (Robie) Lamoureux, Estelle (Bob) Lamoureux and Sharon Bowcott. A wonderful son-in-law and brother-in-law to Margaret Gresham and Burt (Carol) Gresham, Jennifer (Guy) Hutcheson, Paul (Jean) Gresham, Jeffrey (Karen) Gresham and Bruce (Sandy) Gresham. He also leaves behind his aunts Leonie Lamoureux, Hortense Lamoureux and Florence Trudel as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Armand was an exceptional human being who believed in the goodness of humanity regardless if at times life had marginalized him. He forgave easily and most importantly refused to speak ill of anyone. What he prized the most was family and friends and he made a point of staying in contact with everyone that mattered to him through FaceTime or by telephone or with an impromptu visit. He loved traveling on his bike, meeting strangers, visiting family and going for coffee with friends. Armand took great pride in his work at Lucerne Dairies, a position he held for 37 years, always remaining in contact with his work friends even after his retirement. Armand was an avid reader and loved nothing more than to discuss his various theories on historical events. Armand was also very creative as a poet, an artist and finally with his iPad which he used for making videos. Since Armand was always very generous to whomever he met, the family wishes that everyone that knew him do one act of kindness in his memory. The family respectfully declines flowers and suggests that donations be made to the Manitoba Schizophrenia Society, 4 Fort Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 1C4. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 12 at 1:00 p.m. The Coutu Family in care of arrangements: E.J. We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Armand and the family's loss. We new by Estelle's stories of her brother that he was a bright light and interesting conversationalist. He also enjoyed the lake at Locke Bay. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. - Posted by: Tracy & Peter Kloos (Friends of sister and brother in law (Estelle & Bob) at Locke Bay.) on: Nov 22, 2014
