Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • Mike. I am so sorry. I did not know. I was just going through old letters today and found several from Colleen or Sambo as I called her. We had secret nicknames for each other growing up. She has a very special place in my heart. - Posted by: Elizabeth Mathews (Cousin) on: Oct 31, 2015

  • We lived in the same neighborhood as our children grew up! Colleen was always friendly & with a smile! Deepest condolences to her family! She's at peace! - Posted by: Lenore Butler (neighbor) on: Nov 17, 2014

  • Colleen was working at Hook & Smith when I started there in August of 2012. She was wonderful to work with and always helped me whenever I had any work-related questions. Since Colleen left her job with Hook & Smith, there have been many occasions at work when I have said to myself...."What would Colleen say right now?" as she was always making sure everyone in the office followed procedure to a "T". I will also never be able to pass by another A & W Restaurant without thinking of Colleen! She will be sadly missed by me. My deepest condolences to all of her family and friends. • I was a co-worker of Colleen’s at Hook & Smith for almost four years until her retirement in 2013. I was new to Winnipeg having moved here from BC, and recall how welcomed she made me feel. Through her extensive experience as a legal assistant, she taught me a great deal of what I know today. She was my “go to” person whenever I had a question and was sorely missed at the office when she decided to retire - I will be forever in her debt. I will always remember our chats about golf and our dogs. My sincere condolences to the family. She was a great lady. Andrea Bubb, Hook & Smith - Posted by: Andrea Bubb (Co-worker) on: Nov 17, 2014
