PHILIP REBECK
Born: Dec 13, 1929
Date of Passing: Nov 11, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHILIP REBECK Philip Rebeck passed away suddenly on November 11, 2014 at the age of 84. He is survived by the love of his life for 63 years, his wife Florence, sons Ron and Randy (Valerie), grandsons Jordan (Mariane) and Ryan (Amber), sister Christina (Donald), brother and best friend Gary (Mary), and dear nieces Lori (Dave), Rennie Rae (Scott) and Nichol, along with more extended family. Phil will be dearly missed by all. Phil was born December 13, 1929 in East St. Paul, Manitoba to Nick and Pauline Rebeck, the oldest of his siblings in a hard working farm family. Phil will be remembered by his brother and sister as a caring and loyal brother who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Community and family gatherings were very important to Phil, and it was at one of these that he met his wife Florence. They were married July 7, 1951 and built their family home on Rebeck Road where they raised their two sons. Life was busy as Phil and Florence worked at the family store which they later took over and expanded. Phil also worked hauling gravel and eventually established his own business. His career in government started with his job on the Manitoba Disaster Assistance Board. His love of community and neighbour motivated him to serve in public office for 27 years. He was instrumental in building the East St. Paul Community Club and was very active in supporting local sports. Many have said his honesty and sense of responsibility contributed to his long record of service. Phil enjoyed many summer days at his fly in fishing camp on Horse Shoe Lake and as a couple they did a lot of travelling, making many new friends in the places they visited. Phil spent his retirement drawing closer to his family and enjoying a deep study of the Bible. This led him to dedicate his life to Jehovah God and to share what he was learning with the community. He was regular in attendance at the East St. Paul Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and will be greatly missed by them. Phil had confidence in the Bible's promise of a resurrection as stated in the Bible at John 5:28, 29. A memorial service will be held in his memory on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall Complex of Jehovah's Witnesses, 227 Lakewood Boulevard, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Flowers gratefully declined.

Flo, sorry to hear of Philip leaving us! Had many interesting and good relations thru all my encounters as a friend and later as the municipal representative. Much dialogue and good results emanated from this for us and especially the residents of East St Paul. You will be missing a good partner and I a good friend and associate. May the lord welcome him into this new venture that he embarked on. Cam - Posted by: Cam Neirinck (Friend and associate) on: Nov 16, 2014
