AVERY RUTH TECTER It is with profound sorrow that the family of Avery Ruth Tecter announces her sudden passing on November 5, 2014, at the age of 58 years. She leaves to mourn her beloved sons Evan and Brant, mother Ruth, brother Dave (Helen) and family, her former husband Lane, lifelong friend Carol and many others. She was predeceased by her father Abe. Avery graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Masters Degree in Psychology. She learned American Sign Language and pursued a career as the Child Psychologist for the Manitoba School for the Deaf. She loved to read, to garden and to spoil her dog; and recently loved to watch wildlife she attracted to her small garden. Above all else, however, the joy of her life was her two sons and she cherished every moment she spent with them. When they were preschoolers she loved to read them stories such as 'Love you Forever' by Robert Munsch. Later, she especially loved their time together at the lake where she welcomed their friends and catered to their every need. Of late, she delighted in meeting their girlfriends and proudly marvelled at the mature young men they have become. She will remain in their broken hearts forever. It hurts so, so much to say goodbye, mom: "We'll love you forever, We'll like you for always, As long as we're living, Our Mother you'll be." Memorial Services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014. at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. www.chapellawn.ca 204-885-9715

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I am very sorry for your loss, Brant and Evan. I spent many hours in the hockey arena stands with your Mom and Dad. We always had a lot of fun watching you Brant, when you played with my son, Garrett. Your Mom sure loved you boys, and was very proud of both of you! Keep your memories close and know that she did adore her boys. Meaghan Caine - Posted by: Meaghan Caine (Hockey parent - friend) on: Nov 17, 2014
