JUDITH ELAINE PEACOCK (nee SMITH) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved Judy, after a courageous battle with cancer. Judy is survived by her loving husband Doug, son Brent (Jackie) and granddaughters Taylor and Brooklyn, son Brad (Christine) and granddaughter Elyse and grandson Brendan. Siblings Bob (Pat) Smith, Marilyn (Jack) Thomson, Diane Wilson (Del Cline), Bonnie (Larry) Austin, David Smith, Lorraine (George) Nelson, Smitty Smith (Stan Radomski) and sister-in-law Carmen Smith as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by her mother Della Smith, father Laurie Smith, stepfather Don Smith, brother Jim (Crow) Smith, brother-in-law Wayne Wilson, and sister-in-law Linda Smith. Judy was born in Treherne and later moved to Portage where she completed her education. She started working for CIBC in 1967, and had a very successful career, winning many awards of excellence and held the position of bank manager in both Morden and Winnipeg. She retired from CIBC in 2003 and continued in the banking world as a part time Mortgage Broker till 2013. Judy was blessed with a great personality, a sense of humour and treated everyone with the same respect. Judy loved their retirement home on Lee River and spending their winters in Apache Junction, AZ. Rest in peace Judy, you will always be remembered and loved by your family and friends. The family would like to thank all of the staff at CancerCare and Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital and Dr. Sultana for their excellent care and compassion during her illness. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive, Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be in the memory of Judy to The CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or online.
