JACQUELINE DENMAN (nee KEEN) July 27, 1944 November 13, 2014 After an almost year long battle following a car accident, it is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jacqueline Denman on November 13, 2014. She leaves behind her loving husband of 49 years, Harry, and their children Tracey (Peter Friesen), Mandy (Darren Kashton), Stuart (Marita), Ryan (Connie); her 11 grandchildren, Alannah, Nicholas, Mallory and Isabelle Friesen, Holly and Rachel Kashton, Ewan and Abby Denman, Ronin, Lucian and Arya Denman; her special furry friend Maisy; her sister Janet (Tony), brothers Alan (Joyce), Peter, in-laws Reg, Bubbles (Tony), John, Laurel, Peter all in England and Graham, Jean and Janet of Winnipeg as well as numerous other family members and friends in England, Canada and Australia. She was predeceased by her parents, parent in-laws, one brother, three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law. Jacky was born on July 27, 1944 in Worthing, Sussex, England. She married Harry in 1965 and they immigrated as a family to Canada in 1976. Jacky was known to be very independent, creative, loyal and hardworking. She cherished her friendships and loved her family. Jacky had a passion for sewing and knitting, and in later years quilting. Mum also liked to travel with Dad, mostly to visit family and friends in other countries. There had been good times and hard times over the last few years, but Jacky rose to each new challenge, setting new goals and fighting hard to reach them. Her strength and determination had kept her with us for 350 days after her accident before she went quietly into the night where she will have no more pain. We would like to thank the friends and family that continued to visit Mum. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Winnipeg, MB. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jacky's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, CancerCare Manitoba or to a charity of your choice. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

  • My dearest Aunty Jacky. I remember such fond times as a child playing with my cousins. And when in 2007 I came to Canada to visit you all for the very first time on honeymoon with my husband, Paul. We stayed with you and had the most amazing week. I didn't want to leave and cried so many tears. Over the next few years we chatted away and you encouraged me to sew and remembering your embroidery set-up I took up embroidery this year. I know you were always at my shoulder when I got stuck, willing me to carry on. I have thought of you every day for the past year and been so proud of every achievement you made.... and you made so many. Rest in Peace Aunty Jacky, until we all meet again. Love you always xxxxx - Posted by: Lynda Lazarevic (Niece) on: Nov 19, 2014

We met Jackie in 1981, when she became our home care worker and that brought a long time friendship. Jackie will forever be remembered. • Jacky and I grew up together (she lived in the next street to me), we went to school together and had our children together. She and my brother Harry married 6 weeks after me. She was not only my sister-in-law she was my best friend, even though she moved to Canada from England in 1976 our friendship never waned. We affectionately referred to each other as FSIL (favourite sister-in-law). God Bless you Jacky, you have left a huge hole in the hearts of so many people and will be missed so very much. You are now free from pain xxxxx - Posted by: Bubbles, Avril Gardner (Sister in law) on: Nov 18, 2014
