DALE GOUSCHUK It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend on November 14, 2014. Dale's memory continues to live on through the lives of his family; daughter Candace; three grandchildren Alex, Samantha and Danny; father George; brother-in-law Guy; sisters-in-law Jeanne and Darryl; special friend Belinda; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and family friends. Dale was predeceased by his wife Anne; mother Adeline and brother Lyle. Dale was born on December 19, 1953 in Birch River, Manitoba where he attended school and loved spending time on the family farm with his many cousins and friends until the age of 12 when his family moved to Winnipeg. He met the love of his life Anne, who he married April 24, 1976. They had a daughter later that year and lived in Winnipeg until 1983 when they moved to St. Andrews, MB, where they made many life long friends. Dale was a long haul truck driver most of his life and loved taking his family on trips in his truck. After many years he switched to city driving where he worked for Bison Transport and Rothsay, where he continued the tradition by taking his grandchildren on trips. In his free time Dale loved spending time with his grandchildren and friends snowmobiling, working on cars and attending car shows and races. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Cemetery. The family would also like to thank the staff in CancerCare at the Selkirk General Hospital for all their help and support. Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • I am Belinda's cousin, I met Dale only a few times but I was moved by his friendliness. My last memory of Dale was when we went to their house to set up our wedding plan for Binda's decorating. Dale was suffering but never let it show. God bless you, Dale and Binda. - Posted by: norm vezina (friend) on: Nov 21, 2014

  • My heart is so heavy with sadness. You are in my thoughts Candace. Hugs for you and your family. - Posted by: Cathy Burgess (Friend) on: Nov 20, 2014

  • I met Dale after high school, where we frequented the Jolly Mug, a local hang out. I worked for Moe Turenne back then and Anne was living with the Turenne family at the time. I can't recall how Dale and Anne met, but my wife and I recall many double dates with them and then the blessed birth of Candace, such a joy for her parents. Dale was the best man at our wedding in 1977. We have great memories of those early years. Dale was always there if I needed help. He left us far too early. Our condolences go out to George, Candace, and all his family. - Posted by: Keith Halhead (Friend ) on: Nov 19, 2014

  • Adeline and I boarded in the same Swan River boarding house where our friendship began. I became Dale's godmother. We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dale and extend our sincere sympathies to George and family, - Posted by: Sibille (Brocker) Portz (Godmother) on: Nov 19, 2014
