Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • Just today I learned of Alex's passing and am indeed saddened. I had the pleasure of working closely at Deer Lodge with him from 1986 until his retirement. His kindness and clinical skills in dealing with the elderly clients were top notch. His respect for the nursing staff was unfailing and we all have lost a friend. My sincerest sympathy to his family. He was so proud of his girls. Regards Edith Stephenson, RN retired - Posted by: Edith Stephenson (Nurse at Deer Lodge Centre) on: Dec 23, 2014

  • Our family has many happy memories of our visits to the Wilson home in the 1980's. The dinners, music and jokes were always treasured memories that we still hold close to our hearts. • Alex mentored me at CKUW, and afforded me the opportunity to host a radio show there. This led to me eventually landing my own program on CKUW. We shared music, stories, laughs, and helped each other with our programs during the time that Alex hosted his program at CKUW. I was sad when he stopped hosting his program, and I am truly grateful for all the help that he gave me. My sincerest condolences to the Wilson family. - Posted by: John Iverson (Friend) on: Dec 14, 2014
