• IT'S LATE BUT DESERVED . I WAS WITH PATTY AS A CLOSE FRIEND FOR A FEW YEARS IN UNIVERSITY AND MET ALL HER OFAMILY .FROM THAT PLEASANT EXPERIENCE I COULD FORMULATE A VALID PERSPESTIVE OF HERB AND I MUST ADMIT FROM MY ADOLESCENT YOUTH I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH HERB . HE GAVE ME SHIT WHEN REQUIRED AND COMPLEMENTS WHEN DESERVED.HE LOVED ALL HIS KIDS .... I'LL CALL THEM KIDS AND THAT WAS VERY EVIDENT FROM MANY PERSPECTIVES.AS A PARENT NOW WTH MY OWN GROWN CHILDREN .. I MUST SAY THERE IS AN INFLUENCE THAT IS CREATED WHEN WE COME INTO LATER LIFE WITH OWN OWN PRODIGY. I APPRECIATE THE LIFE LESSONS AND THEY HAVE SERVED ME WELL IN MY LIFE . THANKS HERB ... • So sorry to read of Herb's passing. I first met him when he worked at the old "Transit hotel" and brought the bank deposits in each day. He loved to joke with us and we with him. It seems like many years ago and I guess it is over 50 years. Too bad I did not know he was in Vista Park Lodge as I visited my cousin there quite regularly.
