MARTIN FREUNDL Martin "Bup" Freundl, 86, passed peacefully on November 16, 2014 at the Beausejour Hospital with family at his side. Martin was born in Buch am Buchrain, Bavaria, Germany on July 11, 1928. He immigrated with his family in 1956 to Canada and had a 35 year career at the C.N.R. as a sheet metal worker, there he was called Marty'. He developed a passion for horseback riding and consequently he and his wife bought a beautiful homestead near Anola in 1971. Martin was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Margareta, brother Franz Xaver, sisters Rosalia and Anna. He is survived by his sister Barbara, nephews Franz (Elizabeth) and Hans (Giezella), son Franz (Yvonne), daughter Barbara (Albert). Grandchildren Karl, William (Leah), Bradley, Jessica and Sharon. Great-grandchildren Ashley, Kaitlin, Marley and Clover. He will be remembered for his fine forged iron work, passion for history, music and enjoying a good time with family and friends. We would like to thank the fantastic home care staff who cared for Martin at the Sunrise Lodge in Anola and the Beausejour Hospital staff who cared for him in his final days.
