ANNE KONDROTAS It is with great love and sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom, Grammy, Auntie, Anne Kondrotas (Wizinski), at the age of 85 years. Her loving daughter Donna and granddaughter Nikki were by her side when she left us to be with all our other angels in Heaven. Mom was predeceased by her "Puddy" Stanley, her son Terry, her sister Mary, brother-in-law Nick, niece Diane, brother Michael, parents Josephine and Peter. Mom was born in Timmins, Ontario the youngest of three children. There she met the love of her life, Stanley and they were married in 1952. Mom desired a better life and together they began their journey in Toronto, Ontario. They shared a beautiful, loving relationship raising their three children, Donna, Stan Jr. and Terry. Mom and Dad ran various businesses in their lifetime. When sons Stan Jr. and Terry became young men, they joined their parents in the family business. They all shared in the good times and the bad times. With success, Dad loved spoiling Mom and Mom definitely enjoyed the finer things in life. She was sassy and a true lady in all ways. Our home was filled weekly with family and friends enjoying swimming, the sauna, playing Euchre and plentiful food and drink. Mom was proud of her Ukrainian heritage and we all enjoyed her exceptional Ukrainian cooking and decorating. She also made Dad his favourite Lithuanian dishes. Mom loved life and laughed easily. She was a true blue Toronto Maple Leaf fan and had seasons tickets for many years near Ballard's box in Maple Leaf Gardens. She was an avid fisherman and loved going to her son Stan Jr's cottage for fishing adventures. Mom enjoyed watching figure skating and spent many hours in the rinks watching her children's lessons and competitions. Mom loved her poodles and cats, and travelling the world with Dad, but most of all Mom loved her family. She demonstrated what a loving wife, mother and grandmother truly meant. After losing her "Puddy" Mom moved to Winnipeg to live with her daughter Donna and partner Gerry and granddaughter Nikki. She also enjoyed special friends Rosie, Louie and Al. Here they shared many cherished memories from trips to Chicago to watch the Blackhawks, Minneapolis, St. Pete, Grand Forks, Red Rock, and weekly Euchre games. Mom shared all our adventures happily with us until her health finally failed her. Our amazing Matriarch leaves behind to celebrate her life, daughter Donna (Gerry), son Stan Jr. (Karolin), grandchildren Ashlee, Cara, Mariah, Nikki, Darius, sister-in-law Barbara, nieces Marion, Tamara, Monica and Rebecca. A private service has taken place and Mom will be joining dad at the St. John's Lithuanian Cemetery in Toronto, with a family celebration as per her wishes. We would like to thank the caring "family/staff" of Simkin Centre, Weinberg 1. The nurses Jane, Donna, Cheryl, Tita, Jeanette, Virginia who worked so lovingly to keep Mom comfortable especially in her final weeks. The HCA's Denise, Susana, Olivia, Elizabeth, Claudette, Lela, Flordeliza who all worked so tenderly with Mom. Virginia and Cindy, who ensured Mom had her special meals and care. Sara, who always supported us with love and everyone else who were kind to mom. You are all amazing and Mom felt the love. " If flowers grow in heaven, Lord, then pick a bunch for me. Then place them in my mother's arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her that I love and miss her and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile."

Ann Kondrotas, you were a one of a kind, classy lady. From the day I met you when I was 15 years old I thought you were the coolest mom ever. You always made me feel welcome and loved in your home. Your loving home was always abuzz with energy and laughter. Your laughter was the most contagious of all and your smile could have launched a thousand ships. I will always remember you as a hard working business woman but yet you always had time for family. So many happy memories of euchre tournaments with you, your puddy and Donna and myself at your famous card table. We laughed until we cried. More happy memories of attending hockey games and your wonderful way of telling off a referee and again more laughter. Your Christmas Eve dinner table should have been used in a Martha Stewart magazine. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for always including me and making me feel like I was part of your wonderful family. You became like a second mom to me and I will always love you. I know you have now been reunited with your beloved puddy and Terry and all of the others you loved on this earth. What a reunion that must have been. All of my treasured memories of you will stay in my heart for eternity. May you rest in peace. - Posted by: Wilma Reid () on: Nov 23, 2014
