My heart and prayers are with each family member at the home going of your beloved Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa.I knew Herb for at least 48 years. He loved Jesus and his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren like no other. Herb loved to brag about you all. Many times I heard an argument between him and Lloyd Smith who had the best ones. It was cute, they had lots of fun over it and always ended it with a good laugh!!! At numerous dinners at Zion he would get up super early and bake delicious buns for us all. Easter mornings he was up early making and serving the Easter Sunrise Breakfast. He served the Lord with delight and gusto. He was our custodian for many years!! You could count on him to be there at all hours any day of the week (except, when he was at work at MTS). Herb was always helpful and caring. I rejoice now to know he is at home and happy in the arms of Jesus. Way to go Herb!!!! - Posted by: Gladys Smith (Friend) on: Nov 24, 2014

I first met Herb in the 1980's at MTS/Winnipeg Construction Department,1300 Ellice Avenue. No matter what the work topic was the conversation always went back to family, Herb was that kind of guy! Liked by all and knew so many people. I would be surprised if someone ever said they had seen Herb and he didn't have a smile on his face.... My sincere condolences to Siemens family at this time. - Posted by: Bruce F Johnson (MTS co-worker (1980's)) on: Nov 23, 2014

Herb always had a smile for all and I know he enjoyed his retirement time interacting with the people at "Pioneer Place". He is at peace now. - Posted by: Bob Bull (Co-worker and fellow volunteer with MTS Pioneers ) on: Nov 23, 2014

It was an honour to know Herb for the short while I did. Herb bragged about his family and how wonderful they are. The MTS Volunteer Tuesday Group missed him when he retired due to his health. My condolences to all the family at the loss of your Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa. - Posted by: Joyce Pachkowsky (Friend from MTS Volunteers) on: Nov 23, 2014
