WENDY MARY WARREN Wendy Mary Warren passed away at the Grace General hospital on Saturday November 15, 2014 at the age of 62 years. Her love will be fondly remembered by her children Kendra (Bruce) and Michael (Lisa), her grandchildren and her sisters Dianne, Judi, Tracy and Barb. Wendy was a woman who dealt with life's challenges any way she could. While Wendy, like all of us, had her struggles, we are choosing to remember the good times. We will remember her love for all things red, Pepsi and Salt 'n' Vinegar chips. Wendy's nieces will remember their Auntie, for her crazy, infectious laugh, and numerous sleepovers. Others will remember Wendy for her voracious reading habits and time spent knitting. We each have our special memories of the woman we called our mom, sister, auntie, grandma. Wendy enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was in a canoe with Don or working in her flower beds. Her love of nature and all it had to offer was obvious and she was lucky to find a man like Don who shared this love. The four legged friends in the family loved the woman who snuck them treats so willingly. We will also remember Wendy for all she gave to those around her. When Wendy's younger sisters lost their mother at a young age; she brought them to Manitoba, welcomed them into her home and into her family. During the winter, Wendy knit scarves and donated them to those in need. We will always remember the cards we received in the mail with a note saying 'Thinking of you.' Wendy impacted each of our lives in different ways from which we were able to grow, learn and will always remember. Thank you Al, for being a good friend to Wendy. Thank you Don, for always being there no matter how difficult times were. Special thanks to the management and neighbours in her apartment block and to the ER and ICU staff at the Grace General Hospital. In keeping with Wendy's wishes a service will not be held. The family will be holding a private service this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter at 3062 Portage Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3K 0Y1 or online.
