JAMES MCGUIRE It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of James McGuire on November 19, 2014 at the age of 46. James was born and raised in Winnipeg, where he spent the majority of his life. In recent years, James moved to Nanaimo, BC where he achieved a life long goal; earning his Class 1 license and pursued driving as his career. James was a proud father of his children, Brennan and Katie; the three of them shared a special bond. The time he had with them was the most precious for James. James had a kind-hearted nature, combined with a great laugh, mischievous smile and compelling blue eyes that drew you in. Family will remember James by his deep strength, his adventurous ways and his desire to live life to its fullest. Family will also remember James by his favourite interests: his kids, golfing, driving, fishing, and a party! His parents, John and Ann McGuire, predeceased James. James leaves a loving family in Winnipeg and a much larger, extended family in Scotland and Quebec to cherish his memory. James is survived by his children, Brennan and Katie Rimmer McGuire and their mother, Sherri Rimmer, brothers Stephen (Cindy), Kevin (Cindy) and John (Trish) McGuire as well as his niece, nephews and cousins from the Gallagher clan who were more like siblings to James. We all loved you James and you will live on in our hearts, rest in peace. A funeral service is scheduled for November 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Church, located at 510 River Ave., in Winnipeg, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate James's life.
