CARL J. CISZEWSKI On Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Carl Ciszewski, aged 91 years of Gimli, MB, beloved husband of the late Florence. A prayer service and viewing will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli, MB. Cremation will follow the service and a private interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Full obituary will follow in Wednesday's paper. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.

  • To all of Carl's family I offer our condolences. Carl was a fine man with a great disposition...and amazing character. Through the years I have had many a laugh with him, and when I was running for council my first time he worked on my campaign. He was truly a heart warming person.   • I got to know Carl and Florence when my sister Linda married Carl Weshnoweski. I would see Carl and Florence periodically over the years when visiting my sister. I always enjoyed visiting with them. They were very warm and welcoming people and Carl sure loved to tease! When they were touring through southern manitoba they would sometimes stop in to visit my parents in Winkler. I had a chance to catch up with Carl in July at Linda and Carl's anniversary celebration at Camp Morton. When he realized who I was it was like old times! He hadn't changed!
