Uncle Ernie had a wonderful sense of humour that shone through in all the family photos of him that will now be treasured. We were very grateful that he and Aunty Ilse were able to be at our wedding. He will be fondly remembered. - Posted by: Morris and Corrie Monk (nephew) on: Nov 26, 2014

Uncle Ernie was a great uncle. He was always a lot of fun and enjoyed being with people. He also had a gift for music. He would frequently pick up the accordion or sit at the piano and play a tune, even though he had no formal music lessons. He was there for me when I took my driver's test and he attended my university graduation. Uncle Ernie, you will be missed. - Posted by: Ted Monk and Val Monk (Uncle) on: Nov 26, 2014
