ELIZABETH MARY KNISTER It is with great sadness that on Saturday, November 22 2014, in Winnipeg, MB, after a sudden and brief illness, Elizabeth passed away peacefully at the age of 60. Elizabeth embraced life and what was offered to her graciously. Her happiest moments were sought as she tended to her garden or hung her clothes to dry and more recently when she held her grandchildren. Elizabeth leaves behind her sister Esther Lockhart; brother Daniel Ford; children Robert and Russell Knister; six grandchildren, Kaleb, Daphne, Benjamin, Elliott, Lily and Lidia; extended family and friends. A close family memorial will be held in the summer of 2015.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • It has been some time since my mother passed. I miss her everyday. She was my guidance, friend, sounding board and kept me true to my path in life. As long as I have my memories she will continue to guide me. Love you mom. - Posted by: RussellkKnister (Son) on: Apr 19, 2017

  • I met Beth 10 years ago when I moved here from Dauphin. We both worked at Wal-Mart and became close friends taking turns driving to work. When she moved from the building we weren't as close but I will miss her dearly. We had many good times together. My condolences to her 2 sons and their families. - Posted by: Jean Pope (co-worker and friend) on: Nov 26, 2014

  • Beth and I have seen each other through good times, hard times, we have worked together both in hairstyling salons and in property management and have spent countless hours laughing and joking and sometimes crying. She embraced life, her family, gardening and thrived on the simple things in life. Never have we had so much as a disagreement in 25 years. Beth was a true friend in every sense of the word! I am blessed and honored to have had her in my life. It has been a privilege to have a friend in Beth and a void that will remain with me. Rest my friend in peace and without pain, until we meet again! I will always love you. Michelle - Posted by: Michelle Shawarsky (Very Dear Friend) on: Nov 26, 2014
