BETTY JUNE COSTEN (nee FISHER) May 15, 1933 - November 23, 2014 With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Betty Costen on November 23, 2014 at Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Donald, her son Daryl, and her five brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cheryl Costen, Greg Costen (Mary), Andrea Lepp (Ted), daughter-in-law Michele Costen, her much loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her sister Jean Robson. Born and raised in Dauphin, MB, Mom moved to Winnipeg in 1954 and married Dad in 1955. Together they raised four children in Transcona, where she loved providing for her family and taking every opportunity to make our childhoods memorable. She cherished her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who brought special joy to her life. The family would like to especially thank Mom's neighbours, Rene and Irene Vandendorpe, for more than 10 years of exceptional kindness to Mom since Dad's passing. We also extend sincere thanks to the caring staff of Concordia Hospital. A memorial service will take place on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heritage Park Temple, 825 School Road in St. James. If friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6.
